I (a Brit) live in the USA now and the curry over there is just bad. My American husband and I flew back over for a wedding and were craving a curry. On the way to Suffolk from Heathrow we decided to pick a curry house on our route and thankfully landed in The Royal Bengal. It honestly was the best curry I’ve ever eaten. We picked out 3 dishes and 3 naans so we’d have plenty to take home too. The service was excellent! Even the coffee was delicious. I think every time we fly back to the UK, we’ll end up stopping here.

Food was amazing couldn't eat it all managed to get a takeaway out of what was left lol. Service was both friendly and quick. There were a few tables already full when we arrived and we had not booked. So thank you Royal Bengal.

Very enjoyable meal for the four of us. All different choices for starters and mains and no complaints whatsoever, although the chicken dopiaza could have had a bit more kick to it. Good sized portions all round and top service. Shade over £120 for the four including a couple of rounds of drinks and poppadoms to start.

I just ate there this evening. They managed to find a table for one on a busy Saturday evening.
A small restaurant, but clean and well-managed, with attentive staff and excellent food. Thoroughly recommended.

I only really use this place as a takeaway though I have ready at the restaurant a couple of times. After 9 years living in Royston I've tried the various options available and I always end up ordering from the royal Bengal. Love the food. Always top quality, very reliably ready when they say. Fair prices. What's not to like.

Asked if I wanted a complimentary drink, I do not drink spirits. Asked for a small lager, the manager came to the table and in front of my partner and other tables. Said only brandy or bailey's. Embarrassing..

I have been visiting this restaurant for many years and always leave really pleased with the food, service and price. The generous portions are served hot and are really tasty. It’s a must visit if you like Indian food. Not only the best Indian but the best restaurant for many miles.

Friendly attentive staff, well sized food portions at good prices. Limited seating, but able to order as take away.
Chicken is well cooked and presented, with tikka options having a warm red to them.
Good sized portions, with a starter, bread, main and a drink cost about £20-25.
